This Friday’s catblogging shows Gertrude in that Most Dangerous of Places, the dryer. Marking it as her own, no less. As suggested in our “take care of your cat” book, we try to scare her out of there by banging on the sides of the machine, but to no avail. She is fearless (and fluffed).

…and Gert spent the weekend sleeping in the closet, among the nice clothes and towels, happily shedding. Who can resist the face, though?

That’s right, it was all about the sweater. Here’s the back, which I completed today.
…same as it ever was…
…and here’s the front, which looks excitingly like the back at this point. I suspect the sweater is going to turn out to be too wide yet too short for me (the opposite problem to the one I usually have). But we just continue knitting with complete faith in the pattern…

So I am making red sox socks, like the bandwagon fair-weather tool I am, and making them for size 13 feet.
I did the math correctly, but the toe looked big. I took them to the yarn store — they did the math, and just thought they’d mention to me that the toe seemed enormous. Then I put them on Andy…
